Is the profession dealing with drugs and preparations containing drugs. It is divided in to five main branches of study.
- Pharmaceutics - Is the study of the preparation of drugs and pharmaceutical products containing drugs.
- Pharmacognosy - Is the study of the source of the drugs.
- Pharmaceutical chemistry - Is the study of the nature and composition of drugs.
- Pharmacology - Is the study of the action of drugs.
- Forensic pharmacy - Is the law relating to the sale and handling of poisons and dangerous drugs.
